Internet Recruiting
By all accounts the market for PostOnce's
employment ad syndication services is growing. The market segment is robust,
sufficiently large and currently under-served by existing industry participants.
Employment ad syndication is positively correlated with the growth of online
recruiting and internet
recruiting in general.
Online recruiting is growing dramatically.
- Forrester Research reports that Internet recruiting
expenditures will grow from $260 Million in 1999 to an estimated $1.7
Billion in the year 2003. Perhaps more significant is the fact that
these estimates were double the estimates that Forrester projected just 18
months previously.
- Another frequently touted statistic published on the web is
from ComputerWorld and states that "Companies will spend $218 million
on web-based recruiting in the year 2000.". While somewhat out of line
with the Forrester Research, this statistic's disparity with the Forrester
Research can be explained as an older forecast (pre-2000) that
underestimated the growth of online recruiting (much like what the Forrester
Research admitted above).
